Geranium Grouper?

geranium, flipped

It might just be that I didn’t sleep enough last night, but does anyone else see a hungry fish coming right for you?

Lovely plant:                                                     courtesy of my mother-in-law’s garden

Interesting patterned leaves:                             courtesy of hungry insects or snails

Fanciful underwater interpretation:                   courtesy of yours truly

*grin*

I hope no one is sick of the whole (mir)ror im(age) thing yet…  I have really been having lots of fun with this!! And since laughing, smiling and generally having more fun are all items on my “How To Improve My Life” list, you can expect to be seeing more in the future.

Yes, I see something fishy, and perhaps froggy too. Beautiful to look at, whatever it might conjure up. Please, please, keep ’em coming . . .

Froggy? Oh my, yes! I could see that too… In my imagination, it’s still a mouth-open shot, though this time from above, looking straight down at a lily pad into the waiting gullet of a frog. Perhaps similar to the final view of many a flying insect? I do love you for playing along, Ruth — both here and via our e-mail correspondence! If my responses are slow in coming, it’s only because I’m still working on some artwork to send you back. *grin* (The unaltered version of this photo was already one of my favorites… it’s great to create something new from it!)

Is that all you want to say to me?? Ha ha ha ha! Sorry… just playing along with the next line to the Police song! (Nice reference, BTW… I haven’t listened to that tune in awhile.) Thanks for the compliment, Ro. My imagination aims to please! xo

Ohhh, yes. I definitely see it. I was going to mention it if you didn’t! I really enjoy the images you are conjuring up — each one is beautiful. Very clever with the lyrics you two! Thanks to : mom-in-law insects YOU! XOxoxoXO

Hullo, Ms. Songbird… So nice to know, I’m not the only one who can see these things. (Sometimes my husband looks at me like I’m a little bit crazy. Of course, we all know he’s probably not too far from the truth. Ha ha ha.) XO

I’ve been meaning to tell you how much I love these ‘reflection pieces’ you’ve created. Really awesome. This one in particular is really wonderful! From out here in New York it’s looking a little like a dragon of some sort. Although that has less to do with my geographic location 🙂 and more to do with the fact that we (well, mostly Li) are a bit obsessed with dragons these days. The color of the leaves are beautiful (gets me thinking about Fall) and gives it a fiery, mythical kind of look. Nice work! Oh, and this is another one of my favorites: http://www.wideningrings.com/assets/content/20110805/blog-20110805-9326.jpg B

Heh, heh… I really thought you’d like these too. I was actually hoping that you might try out a few with your own photos and send them to me. You do so many awesome abstract/pattern shots — I bet there are some amazing creations waiting to happen there! *GRIN* I love that Li (and by association, you) have dragons on the brain all the time! The other tree image you referenced is really mind-blowing at full-size. I don’t really like to scroll a lot when looking at images on the web, so I try and avoid putting up super huge images, but sometimes (like this) a lot of the detail gets lost at these smaller sizes. Ez was looking at one of these creations the other day and asked if I saw some faces in one part… I said, “Heck, yeah!” Up close (especially at the suture line where the two images meet), you can see all kinds of smaller fantastical shapes and forms. It’s pretty nifty!
